Apparently Tony Ferguson tore some ligament in his knee, and has to pull out! WOW. I am not going to lie it is still significantly disappointing because Tony and Khabib was really going to be epic, and it deserved to happen. Both Tony and Khabib are the truest contenders at 155.
But still, Max and Khabib, wow! Khabib I am sure is the favorite. Everybody says how strong Khabib is for people bigger than Khabib let alone fighters his OWN size.
With this new matchup, Khabib faces a fighter smaller than him. On paper this fight should be very easy for Khabib. Dang. Such a crazy situation here folks.
Max is very spry, long, wiry, and quick. Very solid at keeping distance. I wonder who's cardio is truly stronger? If Max can stay moving and steer clear of takedown attempts by Khabib, I wonder what happens this Saturday!!!!!
This is going to be a very interesting fight!!
If Max pulls off this epic upset it may truly give him, in my opinion, a 99.9% chance of a rematch versus the NOTORIOUS Conor McGregor. Certainly, if Max does win, It will alarm/intrigue, Conor to a scrap with MMA's biggest star.
Max Holloway has a HUGE opportunity here. He's been such a great fighter these past couple of years. I believe its going to be a dog fight versus Khabib. If he gameplans to perfection and digs deep within himself, he can win versus 25-0 Khabib I believe.
