Max Holloway Retains His UFC Featherweight Championship by beating Brian Ortega

Max Holloway does it again. It's amazing how he does the same thing time and time again. He seems to totally exhaust his opponents every single fight. If you combine that with the fact that he has essentially grown up in the UFC Octagon and you get a seriously deadly fighter.

When I think of Max Holloway his natural MMA instincts seem to stick out the most for me. He is a very rare individual when it comes to that. He has a large amount of MMA experience at the highest level at a pretty young age, with MMA being such a young sport it seems that not many fighters are in his shoes.

I believe that is the magic of Max Holloway. A lot of fighters have experience in different martial arts backgrounds, and I am sure Max practices and respects those backgrounds himself, but I believe since Max started MMA at the age of 20 AND has stayed very active throughout his career, he has gained serious MMA instincts.

Plus he has amazing cardio. Not good cardio, AMAZING cardio. Instincts and cardio are traits that stick out the most for me when it comes to Max Holloway and why he's so successful.

Also Max Holloway is just a talented and athletic individual.

Its crazy. Max Holloway basically just puts on his steady high level pace and just never slows down, at all. These fighters can't handle it.

Aldo and Ortega both looked the exact same way after their fights with Holloway. Broken. Exhausted.

I am so impressed with Max Holloway. He loos flawless in the Octagon at times.

Moves in and out, switches his stance, throws strikes unexpectedly at weird angles, just a skilled striker not just some dude with cardio.

I would love to see Max re-match with Conor McGregor. Or test his skills with Khabib.

I believe Max has a lot of good fights left in him.
