I Want To Bet On MMA, But Where Do I Find Knowledgable Picks?

in mma •  6 years ago

I have asked this question before, and this may be where a couple people hit instant roadblocks in their sports betting journey. So Where do you find smart people who are veterans in the mma and sports betting worlds?

#1 pick is the twoplustwo forums, but let me tell you how to navigate. (see pic) 2+2pic.PNG

but dont just trust any degenerate gambler on this site, because believe me there is a ton. The one person I pay special attention to because of their dedication and vast knowledge of the fight game...

and his name is SwoopAE. He has 19000 posts on the forums and he runs all fights through a computer program with crazy accuracy.

The next pick that is a very good source being an ex fighter in the game and a guru on styles and match-ups is a man who goes by "the weasle" on Youtube.

The weasle is currently at an accuracy rate of %71 correct on his picks with a 75% correct pick rate on his fights that he considers strong picks (70% or more to win). If you just tagged along with his "strong" picks I believe you would do pretty good, but stay away from the razor thin bets where you have no clue.

The last source i will give you today is not a person but a resource. It's called BestFightOdds.

As you can see it will show you the date of the nearest event and all the current odds from the main online betting sports books. If you just pull up the odds sheet and listen to The Weasle's breakdowns you can get a feel of weather you are getting good value on the current betting line given to you because the odds are always moving (called "the steam"). Also it will help you find the best deals on sports bets but that's a later lesson. Remember if any good source's intuition is counter intuitive to yours, just stay away.

So subscribe to The Weasle on YouTube and bookmark twoplustwo.com and bestfightodds.com and lets break the bank.

The best way is to watch the sport for a while and gained your own experience and make your own picks. MMA is one of the most unpredictable sports there is imo.

I would argue that it isn't because there is only 2 variables you have to account for as opposed to a whole team of players but Adelaide Byrd is a NSAC judge so that throws that theory down the toilet.

Its hard because its so unpredictable. There are more variables then two. Such as ... Did both fighters have full camps ... is one moving up or down in weight ... Did they fight before ... comparable opponents .... tough weight cuts ...

But most importantly .... MMA is very unpredictable. For instance there was an event last year that every single underdog won costing online bet sites millions of dollars. Lots of people made a small fortune.
