The Healing duties of this Quest are for those who want to get involved, but are not able to attack directly. Not everyone can be a Wizard or a Gondorian shouting into battle, but we can all help as a Team to defeat the Cave Troll.
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Counteract cave-troll attacks towards our party leaded by @fulltimegeek, we must heal them at a 100% ratio.
- Heal every damage received by our fellow quest members (If they receive a flag on a post, we vote on them with the same value)
- Prevent armor decrease on our party members (reputation)
SECONDARY OBJECTIVE: Get as many healers as we can, the more we are, the less targets the Troll will be able to attack. We need a big healling party to be able to heal every party member. If you are a minnow, don´t worry, you can join the healing party (not the attacking party, we don´t want anything to do with attacking, because our swords our weak), we actually need as many people getting involved as this is a Communuty problem, and we as community must deal with it.
Terms of Duration
Healers also engage into battle, but we don´t attack (We don´t Flag), we are supporters of the ones dealing damage, but we attend battle, so we may get some armor piercing (reputation lost) and lose magic bonuses (rewards), so this quest is not for the faint of heart and will require full committment towards our fellow party members.
So to be clear, a healer doesn´t Flag, but vote on posts that get Flagged by the common Foe, the Cave Troll and his Protector.

Might I suggest that we instead upvote unflagged comments instead? By doing that, the fighters will receive more SBD and therefore be able to power up and be more effective downvoters and healers. I'll explain:
The troll downvotes a thread for minus $50.00
Our healers are able to muster up $20
If it is on the same thread, our fighters will receive 0 Payout, but will recoup some reputation. If that same $20 is on an undownvoted comment or better yet multiple comments, they receive that payout and are able to transfer that back into SP therefore be more effective fighters. They will also still receive the same amount of rep.
If the fighters are willing to make the sacrifice, they can simply repost top level posts which get disappeared. It might get hit again, but you can also direct the healers to the comments in the post.

Because i realized one of the reasons i wasn't joining in was that my armor is still weak (REP under 60). See full comment here
But recent events have made me reconsider, my rep can be rebuilt, and the trolls need fighters and as you say healers.
My second worry was that since the SP is being used for the wars there will be hunger in the villages...
But well it is better some hunger today and abundance tomorrow...

I can setup a Healing/Attacking POD channel in a discord server where we can have our medics drop links of fallen warriors there is a working prototype in reveur.

Hi @anomadsoul, thanks for showing this iniative. A few of us were discussing a system of healing as well as implementing a separate class system.
One idea is identifying a bid bot owner or owners to run dedicated rounds for healing. That or users with high SP. We send then SBD to power up and they provide healing services. If we can identify some names, I can design some scripts to help.
For healing ranks, thinking white mages, clerics, bards, chemists (potions) etc.

I wanted to say thank you for coming up with this idea of "healing"; it's a beautiful and positive spin on the ugly, but all too necessary battle being waged. Me ha encantado el toque/temática que le has dado a esta publicación de verdad me hace mucha gracia porque que en mi juego, League of Legends, mi rol favorito es support/apoyo.
