What is Stellar?
Stellar is a platform that was designed to connects banks, payments systems and people. It is a kind of infrastructure for payments. Financial institutions can use it to issue tokens representing fiat currencies. The founder of Stellar also started Ripple. One of Stellar’s main investors is Stripe.

There is speculation that Stellar will become the next great ICO platform. It has a native distributed exchange. Stellar is faster than Ethereum and cheaper. It has a limited system for smart contracts, which means there is less ability to exploit the code. This adds more safety than Ethereum but also limits the use cases of Stellar. Stellar does have a simple programming language so you are not required to hire developers that are versed in Solidity.

How does Mobius fit in?
Mobius is a kind of middleware. It will make decentralized application (“DApp”) development possible and provide a store, like the Apple AppStore to curate DApps. Transaction speeds will be quick and fees will be low.

Mobius provides integration of any token into existing applications, so payments can be easily made. It operates on a Proof of Stake (PoS) protocol. And it facilitates smart payments, so machine to machine (M2M) transactions can occur.
