The perfect wife and mother?

I read proverbs 31 about once a month. And most of the time I read it and think "Oh if I could just get it together like her... I'd be the perfect wife and mother."

But there are those days when I think "This had to be written by a man with a drink in one hand and a dream in his head. Because this is just unrealistic."
What kind of vitamins was this woman taking? Did she ever get a sick day? She must have had a handmaid or two and took all the credit. She had to have! Seriously, how else could she work the garden, make her linen, sells her scarves and have supper on the table with a crying, curious, teething, breastfeeding kid on her hip?!
I can barely pick up my house and/or brush my hair! There are days when I dont even want to climb out of bed.
BUT, I do. Every day. I get up, put on my tichel and kneel to pray that God gives me strength and patience for the day. Then, I take my daughter to school and proceed to ensure my one year old son lives through his exploring. If I get my house cleaned, GREAT! If not its on the never ending to do list for tommorrow. Do I feel bad when it doesn't get done? Absolutely. But I am slowly realizing that the Proverbs wife is not a goal but a guideline. My kids are mostly happy, fed and clean. My husband always has a hot meal (even if he is the one who cooked it) and they know I am here for them. That is a blessing and a miracle from God. Everyday.
Now if you'll excuse me a poopy diaper and cherios on the floor need attention.
