Monero Mining

in monero •  7 years ago  (edited)

I’m starting to see that the CPU doesn’t do much. I was able to get 180 h/s for Monero on my iMac.

Overclocking and running hot like that will make that GPU become unstable pretty quick, right?

How long have you been running that?
I found the cryptonight download. It’s not for iMac as far as I can tell.

If you know of a version that is usable on a Mac, let me know, please.

This is my Monero hash rate on iMac . Pretty slow. I’ll have to call it a hobby until I get a coin or two....which by my estimation, could take several years. 😂

This is on the MacBook.

Just a Hobbyist

That’s what’s is called when you eat the cost of electricity and accept the wear and tear on the computers. I’m sure there are other problems I’ll encounter. There is a pool fee, also.

Is MinerGate a Scam?

I’ve read a few reddit posts and other blogs online they mention how MinerGate “steals hash”. Yesterday, I came across a YouTube video showing how to delete the malware that comes with the download. I have no idea now to work this Mac at that level to find the malware. When I come across something, I’ll post it.

Thanks for reading the post.
