Mining Monero with MinerGate

in monero •  7 years ago

I've been trying to get into the mining for some time now and while looking for a quick and easy way to test the idea Ive found MinerGate platform, MinerGate is the first pool which provides service for merged mining. This means that while mining on our pool you can mine different coins simultaneously without decrease of hash rate for major coin.

The site supports ZCASH (ZEC), BITCOIN (BTC/XBT), LITECOIN (LTC), BYTECOIN (BCN), MONERO (XMR), DIGITALNOTE (XDN), QUAZARCOIN (QCN), FANTOMCOIN (FCN), MONTAVERDE (MCN), AEON (AEON), DASHCOIN (DSH) and INFINIUM-8 (INF8) mining.

In order to start mining you need sign up to their page and download a GUI miner or a console miner to mine these cryptocurrencies. (GUI miner mines all except ZEC, BTC and LTC, for ZCASH mining: https://en.minergate.com/faq/how-to-mine-zec-with-console | for BTC and LTC: https://en.minergate.com/faq/how-to-mine-btc-ltc )

In Terms of Monero, the mining seems to be pretty straightforward - Ive installed the GUI interface and benchmarked my PC - it turns out that its 125% of the average so the mining speed it about 100H/s

... after running it for 30min I have about 0.000080 XMR

Obviously I will need to calculate the RIO etc but looks like in few clicks you can start mining XMR and other cryptos without running terminal and/or setting up your mining rig.

They also have an affiliate program where you can up to 75% of referrals profit! as well as onsite calculator which you can calculate your hashing speed to find out your estimated profit for mining!

I will share my ongoing feedback here and post the ROIs

It takes a while before you can get 1 xmr. I mine using 4 pc's at the same time, only cpu mining and no GPU. I usually mine QCN, FCN. It has a less difficulty shares. And i use PPS not the PPLNS.

Thx for your feedback, did you try to ROI it?
