When is the best time to buy gold and silver? Here are some of the best times to buy and make possibly make huge gains in a recession.

The Federal Funds Rate
The fed funds rate is the interest rate at which depository institutions (banks and credit unions) lend reserve balances to other depository institutions overnight, on an uncollateralized basis. The Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meets eight times a year to determine the federal funds target rate. The current federal funds rate as of April 23, 2019 is 2.44%. When comparing the recessions and seeing how it compares to the indexes and precious metals can give you insight on how to invest during or before a recessions. When the Federal rate is at or near 0% for years can cause huge damage to many financial markets and has huge influence to many banks and companies getting very cheap money.

Silver
Silver is one of the most manipulated markets. Here comparing the federal funds rates with the 100 year silver chart can show what happens to the price of silver. Silver to me is very cheap and is one of the most undervalued asset out there. This is showing the spot prices and not the bullion prices.

Gold
Gold is one of the most undervalued asset out there today. During the wealth transfer owning gold and silver can be the asset class that puts you in a huge financial swing to the upper financial classes. Gold used is a flight to safety and during bad financial times is where many people run to.

Gold to Silver Ratio
Here is a 100 year chart of the gold silver ratio. This ratio can show which on is more favorable to have. During a recession having both will help but if you look at the ratio can tell you which one is more undervalued or over valued comparing to each other.
