Unexpected collectible metal banknotes were minted by the Royal Mint of Australia. It's about a pair of new coins in 20 and 5 cents, which perpetuate the heroes of the famous Australian animated film. The children's show program with the unusual name "Banana in Pajamas" first appeared on television screens in 1992.
It fell in love with the small inhabitants of Australia, becoming a cult not only in their homeland, but throughout the world.
Today the purchase of coins with the image of banana friends Joe and Sam is of interest to both adults who at one time grew up on this television program, as well as teenagers who only watch the legendary cartoon.
On one side of the 20-cent, you can see a color image of yellow bananas in their blue-and-white pajamas, which run after three teddy bears. It was this picture for the commemorative coin that was chosen for the reason that it reflects the essence of the project and will be recognizable by many people around the globe.
The picture is attached logo with the inscription in English "Bananas in Pajamas (Classic)".
The 5-cent coin is also minted in color. Bright colors are colored on it by a character called Rats, as well as the figure 25, inside of which are hidden multi-colored bananas.
It is noteworthy that all the above-mentioned cartoons are only on the reverse of coins at 5 and 20 cents. The obverse of both metal banknotes is decorated with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, turned in profile.
