I am not going to talk about whether Twitter is wrong or right for banning Trump, and letting terrorist still tweet. That answer is pretty clear. The thing I am going to mention is the economics of the decision. We say an election where the voting was pretty close to 50/50. Meaning 70 million people voted for Trump, that is a huge demographic, and with banning him, and certain other conservatives, you could have just alienated 50 percent of your US market.
That being said, you probably won't lose all of them yet, but you just opened the door to other platforms. Meaning new competition is going to come in, and you just potentially jumpstarted them with millions of users.
Also you now just put yourself in the same position as the news outlets which are allowed to be sued. Which you are currently exempt, this move shows you are editing the content, and now puts that exempt status in jeopardy.
All for what because you don't like a man, I would be really upset if I was a holder of twitter or facebook. All I can say is GO STEEM AND HIVE.
