Today was the launch with the release of the first or genesis block. Zcash is backed by famous names in the cryptocommunity;people like Peter Ver, Erik Voorhees, Barry Silbert, and Li Xiaolai and deep pockets like the digital currency group, venture capital firm mostly invested in blockchain start-ups and publisher of coindesk. Yesterday, zcash reached 33 bitcoins on poloniex i.e. more than $22,000. It has exceeded bitcoin with such a price. Will it keep its promises? Let us wait and see.

    Thanks for update. That's true. Many people follow the prices of ZEC, especially in the first few hours! It seems like Zcash team got investments this way from people who have bought ZEC for such price...
