Do you want to be rich?steemCreated with Sketch.

I guess I need to define the term rich. I know that sounds trite, but alot of people spend time chasing something that they do no understand.

Most people would define rich as having enough money so they would not have to work. Homeless people, Retirees, and Trustfund babies all do not need to work.

In fact I will speak bluntly and make a controversial statement but I think that the Bible teaches us that GOD has designed work to be a fufilling experience.

I once worked with a man that claimed to be a multimillionaire and he worked a job that received a lower wage, he just wanted something to occupie his time.

A quote that I appriciate says that the definition of wealth includes stockpiling wealth for future generations. Of course I think that definition is a lot better than living only for the moment, but it reminds me of a word of caution that I recieved from reading the book 'The richest man in babylon'

The story is told of a 'rich' man that gave his son 2 gifts. The son opened both gifts and the first gift was a small book, but the second gift was of a large sum of money. The son started to delegate the money this way and that way and after some time the son was broke. Then he turned his attention to the small book and read the instructions of how to care for the money.

Many people think that they are special and they do not need to read the instructions

A valuable quote that I heard said 'if you inherit 1 million dollars then you better learn to be a millionaire before you loose it'

My favorite book of the Bible is Ecclesiastes. The book is good at boiling stuff down.

(here is a link where you can read the book, there is 12 chapters in all)

I think that alot of people live in reactionary mode, that is every action that they preform is a reaction. So there whole life is a new jerk reaction. Thoes people act like fire-fighters, there days are spent putting out fires. I know that you say that you want millions of dollars. But if your grand plan is to pay all of your bills and just sit around all day...then it might be best that you don't get all that money.

Of course there is the extremely intresting thought that says that part of the fun part of life is the struggles. I mean how many adults want to play a board game that was designed for a toddler 'spin the dial and if you land on #6 you win the game'

If I were an atheist or an agnostic then I would be severely disappointed at life
