The Mandela Effect and Free MoneysteemCreated with Sketch.

There's money to be made in Disinformation!

For those of you that don't know, and I'm still surprised when I talk to someone who hasn't heard of it, the Mandela Effect refers to group memories that don't quite match up to what recorded history says. The name originates from a 2010 blog post by Fiona Broome about the death of South African President Nelson Mandela. She, and others she talked to, remembered him dieing in prison, only to find out with a Google search that he was still alive.

Clearly there was a glitch in the Matrix, or massive amounts of people had been shifted out of an alternate timeline into this one.

Obviously.

Since then the Berenstein Bears have become an example of our existence in a parallel universe and the idea has spread slowly but steadily to the point where people are actively searching for the Mandela Effect and looking for proof that they are not from this reality.

So where's the money?

If you can tell a story to feed those hungry people looking for evidence to reinforce what they already believe then you will make money. For instance the YouTube video "The Mandela Effect Exploded After The 2014-2015 Biblical Blood Moon Tetrad!" was one of the first to exploit this desire for more information while simultaneously spreading the story of the Mandela Effect. Since it was posted at the end of 2014 it has had just under a million views and has pulled in almost $1,400 USD in ad revenue. (estimated)

A more recent example is CONSPIRACY THEORY - THE MANDELA EFFECT, a YouTube video published on August 30, 2016 and already has almost five million views, and has made $7,500 in ad revenue from YouTube alone.

Of course there are other factors involved, i.e. a decent channel and social media following, but the money is there if you can tell a story people want to hear.

And it doesn't matter if it is "real".

Because in the end, what is?
