What's your daily bottom line?

Food for thought

So, what's your daily bottom line? Well mine is $0.01 cent and that's it, simple. There are 365 (6) days in the year and that would total $3.65 in Steem Dollars, and then I'd hold onto it. The current rate of one Steem Dollar to one US Dollar, could change in the future, resulting in that one Steem Dollar may equate to $10 US Dollars or even $100? It's a bit speculative, but it's plausible, if you look at the rise of the mighty Bitty Coin over the last few years, it's been a meteoric rise for the cryptocurrency.

Hypothetically, if I'm holding onto $3.65, and that's now ballooned to $365 US Dollars on the market, then that's incredible. That's a lot for not doing that much, and that's just the bottom line, so anything above that is a bonus. At present, I feel that Steemit is becoming the new gold rush, and I feel like I'm in a scene from the film Far & Away, where we're all sprinting to stake our piece of virtual Steemit land. Well, I'm just going to take this little piece here, sit down, observe and build up from it. I'm taking a realistic approach to a surreal concept, that not only gave me a mixture of emotions, but made me shift my expectations on a daily basis, but not anymore.

Mentioning bottom lines and markets, makes me think about my old days working in the Offices back in London. I remember Facebook being banned at certain times and its usage being policed quite heavily. So, I wonder how any company would view their employees making money for themselves on the company's time? Maybe a compromise of some kind, negotiate a deal with your employer, offer a percentage? All I know is that monetising blogging is going to concern company owners, who are aware of how much time their employees spend on social media, during work and outside of work. Then there will be the super smart bosses who view Steemit as an opportunity and not a problem, leading to them capitalising on this new concept.

The future is so Steemingly interesting.

Interesting

I wish one day steemit is banned from the office. That only means we as early steemers made this webpage THEBOMB.com... keep it up STEEMERS..loving it!!!

Steem on The One! :-D

I think we can easily make more than $0.01 per day if we are a bit active. Just my 2 cents :)

Definitely Rudy, just creating a pressure free environment for myself! :-D

Very interesting question, we will probably see some companies blocking access to web sites like Steemit.com like they have done earlier with FB and Spotify. Even more reason why we need a mobile app!

Have you tried eSteem? I haven't. How do you protect your password with a mobile app? : ) The fewer places it is on the internet the better.

You are absolutely right, but eSteem claims to store your password on your mobile device, not in the cloud. I have tried it but I can't get the posting to work, I just get an error message.

I believe so too Almvide and the mobile app is a great idea.

Exactly the same tower as in the netherlands!

Good post. Resteeming this to 9000+ followers. :)

Thanks Joan and that's a little bit overwhelming to be honest. I can't thank you enough, whoever you are? Followed and thank you kindly. :-)

9000+ followers .... wow ...

Why does everyone say they expect Steem to raise in value when it is constantly printed day by day? Inflation is so high that once people do not pour enough fresh money to cover for it it would plumet. The nature is inflatory, how do you expect $100 steem in a year, imo it is way more possible to have $0.10 steem in a year

It's more about supply and demand. At the moment, Steemit doesn't have mainstream demand, but most certainly will do. I have no idea about how much currency is produced each day, and whether Steemit's surplus is enough to cover a rapid global sign-up? It's just about supply and demand, but looking at the rise in value of Bitcoin over the past few years, it's been pretty crazy. I concur with your 12 month forecast, but beyond that, know one will know, unless you have a quantum computer sitting next to the Mac, then possibly? :-D

Very interesting. Though Steemit has its issues, we should be grateful for being here and making money with little effort

My thoughts precisely Giuatt.

Thanks Evgsk! Worth thinking about.

interesting!

Thank you so much Outhori5ed!

you are welcome. i should really thank you for posting this

You're most very welcome and thanks to Joan, you got to see this post. Thank you once again @joanaltres. You're a superstar and this world works in mysterious ways. :-)

it used to be the company worried about 1 bottom line. Profit. then the second bottom line came about...the customer needs to be happy. Then the triple bottom line....profits, happy customers, and then the employees need to be happy now too. Well I am here to tell you that is just the beginning of bottom lines...i am looking for at least a quadruple bottom line. The win, win, win, win situation. This is where , the company meets its numbers, the customer and employee are happy, and now then whole transaction that went down is also benefiting the community!! boom win win win win, now when i do business i make sure there is at least 4 bottom lines being met. ...great inspiration on this one @flatrider
sincerely,
@saysay

You know all about it, and thank you for such a comprehensive response based upon your own experience. They're wise and informative words, thanks once again SaySay.

thanks you too!

It certainly adds up. i'm up to $30 a day already in one week... thatls $900/month

Upvoted and Followed! Great post

It certainly does and well done! You see, if you had a $0.01 cent daily bottom line, then you've got a big bonus, a bonus that's like a 'pension' payment each month, in the future. ;-)

Some more cents from me to you. Like the way you approach it. I hope for us all that the price will go up. If not then not. I really like being here. I never liked facebook and not very active on it either. But i make sure I forward my post on Steemit to Facebook so more people can discover Steemit and move to a platform that really ads value. Take care and have a nice day. :)

What a lovely response FF and I know it will go up, it's just not mainstream yet. I'm always telling people about Steemit, but some listen and others will listen further down the line. Take care yourself and have a great day. :-D

Totally agree that it will go up.. But I have my concerns about it going mainstream. At the moment I feel like this is a caring community. Once it goes mainstream that might change to my mind. What is your vision about this? Have a great day to. :)

When the mainstream pick up on Steemit and feed it with mainstream content, then I believe that Steemit may become a bit more compartmentalised, according to different personalities and characters. At the moment, the mere mention of Blockchain technology will scare away anyone, who cannot apply themselves to understand the basics. This is the thinking person's Facebook at the moment, but will inevitably be diluted by people who may not necessarily think about what they doing. We shall see.

Thanks for your reply. I already noticed that some people do not create own content, but share like a funny pic or an article from someone else with a little intro and a link. Which is not necesarily bad. But if there is no opinion of themselfs on the article, then from my point of view, there is also no value created.. Mainstream could mean more of such approach. But indeed. We will see.

I've seen that as well and makes the post characterless. Everyone has different levels of access to their creative side, some better than others. Time will tell.

I notice that you are well speeched and in every reply till now you put things together so well. For example the part of the different levels of acces. It's the perfect follow up to your first sentence. I will follow and read moreof your posts.

Thank you so much FF and I'm following you too.

Interesting article @flatrider I thought about this whenever I signed up (yesterday) and ended up assuming that most people would sit at their desks at work, on here commenting and posting their day away especially when it becomes more popular lol
That's what I would do... lucky for me I am my own boss and that's probably exactly what I will do since there is just so much to read on here :)

The perks of being your own boss will allow you to run with this concept. Steem on Heart 2 Heart and thank you for your reply.

You'll do much better than 0.01 a day so if it's multiplied by 100, even better.

Even better HTSAB.

This is awesome! I think steemit can be AT LEAST 10% of FACEBOOK MARKETCAP! So 40-50 billion in future 😃🚀

Easily Ryan! But, what are Facebook going to do about this monetary aspect for posting on sites. Look out for a Facebook Cryptocurrency that's probably already in the works. In today's world, money talks and...so, they have no alternative than to create a monetary factor to their site, if they are to compete. Facebook could be relegated to the bottom league where there's no monetary reward for users.

Well said! Anyone in power needs to be careful that their wealth doesn't get transferred away during the greatest wealth transfer and history

Now you're thinking Ryan! Wow, what a thought.

There are marginal costs involved. Cost of data. Time that could have been spent on other ventures. I feel one thing holding steemit back is absence of a mobile app. That would really drive user participation.

It would take Steemit's accessibility and awareness to a whole new stratospheric level, with a mobile app.

better you buy more steem and hold it

Thanks Gihan.

So interesting.

Thank you so much Russiancat.

I jus joined here and have minimal worth, but your write up is interesting and I agree I will hold what little I make on here for the ride and see where it goes, and the plus side the time I spend on here I read stories from interesting people and see beautiful art from around the world through photos so its all a good use of my time whether I make money or not :)

It's worth holding onto, that's for sure. The days of not being rewarded for your content are coming to an end.
