Good morning traders and happy hump day! Have you ever wondered how Bitcoin could have changed your life, if you had invested a little earlier? Let's take a look.
99bitcoins.com provides us with this neat little calculator, that allows us to see and cry over how much money we would have made, for example, when we invested only $1000 in Bitcoin in 2011.
Via 99bitcoins.com
From a 1000 dollars, a spectacular money tree has grown, netting you a cool 35 million dollars. But what if we were dirt poor in 2011, and could only muster up $50, by selling that old GFX card or doing some heavy overtime at work? You would be sitting on a nice $1.8 million currently, considering you haven't spent it by now on coke, fast cars, luxury yachts and villas.
Considering that you were one of the early guys (just like we all are on Steem ;)), and you have that 35 mil in your pocket, what can you get for it? For the avarage guy, this is quite a decent amount of money - most will never see this much. But if you now have a taste and want to jump in the superrich club, owning some of the finest toys, you are out of luck. ibtimes.co.uk details nicely in this article, how you can spend a billion dollars and end up with empty pockets.
So step 1, as you don't have to take the bus to the old nine-to-five any more, you can finally move out of the hellhole you were living in until right now. so, head to the Prestige Propery Group homepage and go straight for the Lake Como property, as that is the place to be.
Damn, you're out of luck. The Waterfront residence with mooring is a little out of the price scale. I mean, you could shell out the $28.6 million (23 mill EUR), but that would limit your lavish lifestyle and we can't allow that, can we? So you will have to settle with the 7 bedroom villa, which will set you back with a little more than 2 million USD. But the place is looking gorgeous:
Next you want a yacht and a car. Yacht is simple - you want something with style, but what is not another copy of the next random yacht. Unfortunately, the luxury sail yacht Troy would set you back about 30 million dollars, so that is out of the question, for now.
No problem, head on to page 12 of the yachs, where the cheaper models hide, and choose the ZanZiba sail yacht, which will take only $8.5 million from your Bitcoin earnings. But as was the case with the villa, the cheaper yacht also looks absolutely stunning!
Next up - a car. Also easy. Grab some used cars from theautogallery.co for 2 million for you whole family and you're set. As you come from the barrio, you have no problem sitting in a second hand car, which gives you a significant monetary advantage over those born with diamond spoons in their mouths :)
Considering the money you have, vacations are cheap, bills are easy to pay, you might even get a few manservants. But the expenses rack up.
You're down 12.5-13 million dollars and you have got a villa, a car, a sail yacht. But your wealth has caught the eye of some criminals. Now you need security. Let's say you don't go for the top package and get a couple of trained ex-mercs, who charge you a couplehundred dollars an hour. Your honey pot is getting emptier by the minute. Your wife/girlfriends demands more luxuries. what can you do?
That's right. You invest it back. With approximately 20 million to spare, a cautious man can make a spectacular living out of it. Making money with a lot of money is easier, than grinding on the exchanges with 10-20K dollars.
You can contact some of these professional trading firms, that usually stay under the radar (well, not Circle) and be smart about your money.
This post was inspired by the IBTimes short article, on how to burn your money easily, when you have billion dollars. Read it here ibtimes.co.uk and then ponder, what the few more hundred million dollars can give you, what 35 million cannot.
This article is meant to be educational, amusing and inspirational at the same time. There is no deep point in it, just some thoughts, that ran through my head, when reading about the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

Very cool article and thanks for it. Always hard to tell early on if an investment will pan out and what to bet on. I was around and investing in the first tech boom. I bought stocks for less than $2 that went to nearly $200 in less than a year. My broker had three years over 700% before things turned and crashed really hard. But a few companies like Amazon came out of the ruins.
Bitcoin seems to be a keeper and only time will tell. In the meantime, spend the cash if you have made it on some of the things you laid out. In other words, enjoy your life.

The way I see it, If you invest in Crypto, you either score or you bust.
You have to be able to live with the consequences. If you have a few bucks lying around that you wont miss, then yes sure go for it... If not, rather invest in something safer and then use the profits from that to reinvest in crypto.
I did the latter, I had a pension fund payout when I switched jobs,
I invested all of it (roughly 11000USD) in FNB Bluechip Shares.. 4 years pass and my investment has grown to 43000USD so naturally I reinvested about 10000 in crypto and half the remaining 30000 in other shares. cashed out the rest. Payed off all debt, put some away for the kids, etc.
Best decision ever.

Rich people don't have to know how to spend their money. They become rich, so they are enough intelligent to know where and how to spend it.
Poor people must know where to spend money, so that they can manage their small assets well and grow a bit rich.

Yes i imagined that if i had invested earlier, it would have been a different song emanating from my mouth. It's so unfortunate that i always come last, even the pot-luck evades me. Your right up is really an eye opening and very informative. Thanks a lot.

I think that steemit is the real winner. A lot of people don't have money to invest in crypto's but they can join steemit and write some quality content and get paid. Steemit has already and it will change a lot of lives
