Think of Ideas & Their Consequences
Before doing something stop for a second and ask yourself that why you are going to do this? Will you be successful? To me success is 70% idea and 30% determination. A lot of people are struggling for nothing. Spend sometime on thinking about new and unique ideas.
Discover new ideas about the needs of people. Invent something new, may be simple yet useful. Shampoo was not once people's need but today it is considered as a basic need. Same thing goes for all other things we use in our daily life.

Boost Your Motivation and Work On Your Idea
After selecting an idea you are ready to move to the next stage. Now its time to stay motivated, determined and directional. Don't listen to anyone and keep grinding.

Staying "directional" is very important. Stay away from other things and even "ideas" and focus all your efforts on one idea. If you can keep yourself away from distractions you are going to succeed, I guarantee!

Love What You Do!
When you love what you do it is no more a burdensome work. It becomes your passion, game and addiction. When you love to do something, you do it from your heart and that's what gives your work a unique spark.

If you are working on something because it pays more but you don't like it. Then either start loving it or start doing something you love. People with right goal succeed because they know where they are going.

Love Your Customers
Your customers are your partners in your mission. Always approach them with a friendly and understanding approach. It takes months to earn a customer and seconds to lose them. Your customer's perception is your reality. If you find your customer criticizing you, thank him and listen to his words carefully! They are your greatest source of learning.

Keep Moving Forward or Stop The Time!
This is my belief. Either keep moving or stop the time. This world is not for the ones who love to stay in their comfort zones. If you really want to achieve something get out of your comfort zone and learn about new things. Always keep thinking about improving yourself and thinking about new possibilities and ideas related to your business.

I agree with what you say here, for every 100 ideas 5 may have merit then every 1000 ideas there might be that one jewel. It is hard to remove the chaff from the wheat as I have found but I have now found my niche and doing very well and helping the world.
