Weeks ago..the new £5 notes came out, made of polymer. Apparently, they will last 2.5x longer than the old ones. They are cleaner and stronger too.
What's fascinating about them are their serial numbers, where people are selling them on e-bay worth 20x, 100x and more than their current value. I've read something like a ridiculous £30,000 bid or perhaps more on an AK47 serial number. Who on earth will do that?
Anyway..as I've got a few, perhaps i'll keep them for 10 years, or 20 years perhaps? Maybe somebody will go mad and have an inclination of buying some. One will never know.
Perhaps if i'll invest, say a £100 worth maybe or more, and sell them for a tenner each? There will always be crazy people wanting them ;)
Maybe i'll ask Winston...he'll probably smile if i'll decide to invest on STEEM.
ROFL oh that should put some faith into the economy, Sir Winston Churchill : )

Joining Australia and New Zealand who have had polymer notes for years. China now too. Good for money laundering - they do not go soggy in the washing machine - but do not iron them.

Probably..maybe they should wait for the new tenner or £20.
