The book of Proverbs says: Better is a dinner with vegetables, than a house full of feasting with strife ! It's all in our perspective of how we truly see the world and our present situations. For many, they feel that to have riches beyond measure is the answer to all of their problems. But really ?
I just read in the news the other day about a 45 year old lottery winner from Georgia, who won 3 million dollars in the lottery and blew all of it by buying and selling Crystal Meth. And now he faces prosecution and prison ! Can you believe it ? My point is that, what is money without the moral compass to handle it ? Money is an answer to many problems, and can be a wonderful tool in the right hands but we need to have our hearts in the right place before we are entrusted with so much of it.
A good plan is to give away the very first fruits that you get and bless others with it. Like tithing. This ensures that your heart stays clear of greed and selfishness just wanting to consume it all on yourself or even your family. I believe that what we do with the first part of something determines the blessing that is on the rest of it.
As Zig Ziglar has said: " You can get everything in life you want, if you will just help enough people get what they want".
