Money is real power, not because it is paper, or gold, or encrpyted zeros and ones, but because it is a representation of the wisdom of the crowd, community agreement, and a unit which preserves, respects and honors human dignity, in saying: your body is yours, and you have a will, thus your time and efforts are valuable to you, and I will not steal them. I will trade you value for value, because I honor the divine value in you.

In the past it was seashells. They were just rare enough, and just plentiful enough, to serve as a workable currency. Some may scoff today at the idea of seashells as money, but they would be misunderstanding the very essence of money. Essentially, it’s a convenient unit of trade.

When we realize that value is subjective, in the eye of each individual self-sovereign and autonomous value-er, and that it takes agreement between individuals in a community to form a market, we see the real meaning of money: it is the human creative force in action, creating value “out of thin air.” It is a powerful, god-like act, which is why the creation of independent currencies has routinely been forbidden by governments and kings since time immemorial.

Money is the “blasphemous” idea that: I value you and your time, and expect the same from you. I wish to live in peace, security, happiness, and prosperity. Let’s create a system of exchange we can use in community to help each other, because in so doing, we find joy, and also help ourselves.

Spot on! If only everyone understood money...

in this era money is everything for once..one cannot survive without it.. it became the most important things in life.without it one cannot fulfill his dreams.it depends upon a person that in what ways he spend the money.it is also the cause of many problems, because people use wrong ways to get it.
nice article thanks for sharing

Money is the cause of many wars
America has occupied Iraq for gold and money
Millions of people were killed for money
A crush for money

Well, people are the cause of wars. People pull
the triggers, not money.

I agree though, that the current system of money, which is a massive-scale fraud, under violent governments, is unfair and evil.

Sometimes money is not everything. We cannot buy the health with the money. We also cannot redeem the death with money.

Of course. Did you read the article?

I agree with you that money is a source of strength, but I do not agree to deify money, sometimes too many people the wrong harness the power of money

I did not deify money.

Yes, I mean the people who deify money, not you

A very healthy perspective, sir.

Understanding what money is, has to be learned from a young age (and definitely not in the last 50 or more, years).

Now try to explain it to a socialist! lol

Everyone love money which seem to be the peak, recently... I learn to chase my dreams and passion and the papers will come rolling. Like you said:

and I will not steal them. I will trade you value for value, because I honor the divine value in you.

I bought a pack of smokes from Walgreens for 20 snail shells once after asking how many it'd be worth and the manager said if you got 20 you got smokes and I had 22... Try that with crypto and we should forsake Mammon when so many abandoned the path of righteousness not to mention god
