Why Do People Stay In Their Job?

image

I think money is not the main reason people stay in their jobs although people work to earn money. They also work because they enjoy working, they receive job satisfaction and like the sense of accomplishment.

Most people enjoy going to an office or store or school each day. They like to interact with other people. They like to help people solve problem, learn something, or get a product. People loke to help other people.

A lot of peope keep the same job because the job gives them a lot of satisfaction. They genuinely enjoy what thye do. This is true for most teachers. A teacher's pay is not very great, but the job satisfaction can be very high. Helping someone learn is one of the greatest things anyone can do.

Money is nice, but it is not the only reason people get up and go to work each day. I believe that people work because the enjoy the act of working; and they like the feeling of a job well done.

It is just my opinion. How do you all think about people working?
And Answer me honestly: why do you all stay in steemit platform....😂😂

This topic is fully covered in one of my favourite books: Rich Dad Poor Dad...I believe that people stay in their jobs because they are afraid of changing it,of risking and taking more responsibility...Most of the people that keep their job are afraid of money itself-afraid to lose it,to risk earning more money by changing job,etc...I dont say that we should quit our jobs and be gamblers, but controled and well planned risk is sometimes worth to take, and not be stucked forever in one job

I suppose at the the end of the day it depends, some people like me, love their jobs, quitting your job can bring loneliness. Don't get me wrong id love to be a man of leisure, but for now im happy in my Job and my life.

I have been reading since 5 month ago this book: Rich dad and poor dad. I like it too much. Sometime it good we have to take the risk. Yes before I'm afraid to quite a job becuase i afraid i lose my money. If you are still young of course!!! You think that you are happy with your job and you having fun, i can stay this job forver and you know i think it the same but it's not. I think i don't want to stucked there forever and changed mine. And changed my life to be a bussiness girl and try to looking for how to success in life. Anyway, everyone has different opinion,we can not tell people you should do this do that right? If you think that you are really happy to do it, just do it. Don't let anyone make you depressed. Anyone can be anything.

It's my opinion:)
Have a great day all.
And also have a great day @konay1997 upvoted for you. great job. you are right but not all people stay for money. Happiness is important.

Great thoughts @ironman80

Everything about life is about trying to get out of the box. A job kind of locks you in into a certain situation. You get used to the internal standards and customs. Every day it becomes hard to break out because the outside world seems a bit further every day :)

People are a kind very sensitive to habits :)

Yeah, bro, your thiughts is great @sbrys

A person stays in his job as he can't have a successful business.

Oh.... you think like that @taspingo

Yes I work if I can't have my own business.

I think people stay in their jobs because they like comfort. Once they know all of their coworkers and how things work, they don't want to go anywhere else where they have to be the new person again. Also because people don't know better. I'm an advocate for entrepreneurship, but most people don't believe they are capable of doing a side hustle :/

Thanks bro

Lots people do what they grow to think they know and like things in nice little pretty wrapped packages. Most do it to feel safe but really its just an illusion. That said people have families and have to conform.

According to me, i work for some reason than I just stay home. first, to see the world, to make friends and to socialize, to test your ability and integrity, to develop oneself, to gain trust and to be a reliable person. If we succes in our job, we will get recognition from the community.

@hanyahenny , your thoughts is very nice. If other people think like you, the world will br fine all time

as choosing the job at our country, we cannot follow our heart to do. if we have a job that we love, we can do for more quality products.

@patricksanlin, in our myanmar country, almost all people follow the money, so our country is going to poor and poor 😄

I think most people have jobs for the money. There life is defined by external factors, which require money. Personally I quit my 9-5 job because I was not providing a service to others

I think not all people stay for money 😄

As the primary income in my household, I stay at my job because I refuse to risk my family's well being to pursue a dream of something better. At my job, as an electritian, I've secured my place as a hard worker and a valuable asset to the company. Of course there are things that bother me and could be better else where. But to drop everything to pursue a dream, knowing the high failure rate of entrepreneurship and the uncertainty of employment else where, would be selfish and put my family at risk. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a little personally to make life better.

I worked in the same company for 12 years before being made redundant as the offices were closing. I mostly stayed all those years because of the people. I met amazing profesionals in all the departments I worked in, and I learned so much! It was really a great experience.
I now work for another company in which I hope to develop again and keep learning. I have to say though that I feel a bit more cautious with giving it all for the company. I did that before and nevertheless lost my job. I work with great colleagues in a chaotic environment and I try to get the most out of it.
I would say that currently my state of mind is to have "security" after going through the process of looking for a job in Spain... not an easy task to say the least...
I am grateful for my colleagues, my boss, the work-life balance I am able to keep. I like my job and I hope I can contribute to improving things, but the environment is pretty chaotic and everything, even when it seems "easy" turns into never-ending circles...

i stayed in my job because i feel secure and i have the responsibility to feed and support my family. good post @konay1997

You are the best brother 😉 @ahhjoeinhk

People remain in jobs for many reasons, including fear of failure in self-employment

. I don't think a job is the one nor the best place to earn money or to meet people. Same is for schools concerning learning and meeting people. You can learn, meet people and accomplish things without these things. I believe that most people would do something else if they had enough money to not to work for an employer. :)
