The New Generation currency Philippine coins are now initially released by BSP.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas has the coins designed with native Philippine plants and with faces of our National Heroes.
One peso coin Php1, has an embossed of the plant Waling-Waling and face of Jose Rizal.
Five peso coin Php5, embossed the plant Tayabak and face of Andres Bonifacio.
Ten peso coin Php10, embossed the plant Kaba Kaba and face of Apolinario Mabini.
The Philippine coins are made of nickel-plates steel.
