[Financial Freedom] What is backwardness?

in money •  7 years ago

In the past, we usually felt that above the average level is not to backwardness...
This feeling is definitely biased - why?
First of all, people’s feelings are always biased. This phenomenon is often used to prove this:

Nearly 90% of people think that their driving level is above average...

In macro terms, this is obviously impossible. But when fall on you, you will think “I feel that I am above the average level!” - There is another thing that almost everyone believes is higher than average. The special word is called “Lake Wobegon Effect”. when you are free, you can search for it, it’s fun...

The deeper reason is this:

We cannot perceive the whole world; we can only judge whether we are above average by perceiving our own surroundings.

In other words, what is used to support our “conclusions” is actually a very limited far from all, just what we can perceive. So, what does a frog at the bottom of the well be above average in its world?

In the educational system, people put the “passing line” in 60 points instead of 50 points, which is also reasonable in some sense. The “10 points out” can be regarded as a “correction parameter”. This is actually a bit cruel, because the passing line clearly states that 40% is backward. But fortunately, most people in the school are able to pass the exam. From another perspective, this kind of false and “tolerance” is equivalent to “warm boiled frog” and is also all over the world today. The fundamental reason why all the so-called “formal education systems” are essentially bad and unsuccessful in the world today, because they are creating a false world that hinders most people, hinders “immune ability” normal development.

After entering the society, some relatively sensitive people may have discovered that “passing line” is almost useless. Actually, after 20% all of them are lagging behind, because 20% of them occupy 80% of the limited resources in the world. The 80/20 Rule seems to be omnipresent. And that law was found by Pareto, an economist in Italy, in the 1897 study of the wealth and benefits of the British in nineteenth Century - An instant that has passed for more than one hundred years.

In twenty-first Century, a major change is revealing a more cruel fact:

May be, 1% is all behind.

In the middle of 2011, a company was founded: MI. in the next 2012, only MI sold 7.19 million mobile phones, 18.70 million in 2013, 61.12 million in 2014, 70 million in 2015, 23.65 million in 2016.
(Data Sources: http://tech.huanqiu.com/it/2016-08/9357613.html)

In other words, over the past few years, just MI has sold more than 100 million mobile phones. In addition to MI, there are many big manufacturers, such as SAMSUNG, OPPO, HUAWEI, VIVO and Apple... in the second quarter of 2016, Tencent’s WeChat had about 800 million users, and Alipay more than 300 million....

It is not an exaggeration to say that the mobile Internet is equivalent to having already connected everyone. Mobile devices are already equivalent to an indispensable “organ” for everybody - don’t believe you see how many days you can hold on without a mobile phone? And if you are abstaining from eating, the three-day estimate really doesn’t matter, right?

The direct result of all people being connected is that the world we can perceive is not confined to our surroundings, but that “everyone of us is able to perceive the whole world as far as possible”, whether it is superficial or profound.

Many years ago, there was a small child who had entered Tsinghua University in Beijing from a very small place. At that time, this child left his hometown and went to Beijing. What does this mean? This means that the child has disappeared from his original world. The person in his original world can no longer see him. Later, he can only be a legend at best. Later, this young man left Tsinghua University and went to Yale in the United States. Which meant that the world he had gone through in Tsinghua disappeared; He graduated from Yale and took charge of Yale’s Fund - in the world he once experienced in the country, them did not know his change, and them could not see the process of this man controlling his knowledge to change his destiny... This is not a fabricated one, this man surname Zhang.

It can be different now: In fact, this process can seen by everyone.

In 2008, I began to tutor children in the country to apply for American universities. Most of them were later admitted to Harvard, Yale, MIT, Stanford, Carnegie Mellon, John Hopki. At that time, after they left, they were basically equal to the disappearance of the world in which they were in the country. Once a year, or once in two years meet them, that was all. But in 2013, they started to make WeChat... after that, they are basically all graduate students, Ph.D. graduates, working in Silicon Valley or New York, very young, always earning $ 150,000 dollars a year, not counting Bonus, working weekly for five days, working eight hours a day, the other time is to learn new things and travel around... In the past, they were only living in another world. They were changing their destiny with knowledge. In the other world, they disappeared. In the world where they disappeared, “knowledge useless” was an inevitable self proof prophecy. And now? Their WeChat is there all the time, the whole world is seen, they will not disappear, they are exist, their life is clear to others, knowledge is useful, knowledge can change the fate, at least can quickly realize...

In the past year or two, a variety of knowledge-trafficking communities have emerged one after another and they have done very well. Why? Because now everyone has seen that the original successful people (or simply crude: those who made a lot of money) really know a lot of things that people don’t know, and we don’t know the methods, no wonder that us don’t as well as them. From another point of view, the traditional so-called formal system education is not enough, for instance, when it comes to product managers, everyone suddenly finds that there is absolutely no such thing in the school. Some universities are open this class but useless, because not real expert will go to the university to teach... What can we do? Buy it quickly!

Finally, we give an example that everyone can see and feel: “Li Xiang commercial internal reference”(Paid subscription commercial knowledge service content product), which is now more than 70 thousand subscriptions, 199 yuan per year, and the number is likely to grow(the number of subscribers was 100,935 users). Maybe 14 million yuan (2220636 dollars) is not much, but this figure is already 1/5 to 1/2 of the annual profits of the National Equities Exchange and Quotations listed companies, and even more - those companies are not composed of one person, usually dozens of people can create Li Xiang’s profits. In other words, this is equivalent to the fact that Li Xiang has passed more than 99% of a small publisher the time, how terrible...

When everyone is connected, the thirst for knowledge is very strong, because the difference is obvious. That’s it.

Even this craving has become a fear of fear of backwardness.

In fact, it should indeed be fearful. Because there was a terrible fact, it was already there. It was just that most people didn’t respond...

In the past, after 40% it was backward;
Now, you think after 20% it was backward;
Now, in fact, may be after 1% it was backward;
In the future, it may be backward after 0.0001%, 0.00001%....

There is another more frightening trend: the rise of robots, the rise of AI, and the majority of people are on the way to becoming more and more useless. Think about it: How many people around you really understand what the word “big data” means? Then use common sense to speculate, how many people in the entire population really understand probability statistics? - This is the basic knowledge to understand “big data”! I calculate it for you.

In 2015, the number of college students in China was about 32 million, in fact, this is only about one-tenth of the population of the same age. When you think about it, how many people in college are serious about learning statistical probabilities and then have the ability to apply this basic knowledge to their own lives? Less than 1/10 is not an exaggeration. It may even be less than 1/100... It means that only 1% of young people of the right age have the basics and are likely to learn and understand the significance of big data. The theory of big data is really not too difficult, but it really is not everyone has the opportunity to learn, because the matter of obtaining a large amount of data is itself a particularly high threshold. Multiplied by a 1/100 again. In the end, only one ten thousandth of the population, or even hundred thousandth people, have the ability and the opportunity to master big data skills, and use this huge advantage to obtain even greater returns. Isn’t it?

In the face of big data, 99.99% of people are useless. After 0.00001% are backward, are studied, guided, and the object of being earned - it is cruel, but know better than not know, although pain, but there is hope, because you will struggle for the pain, and hope; Don’t know it is shit, there is no pain, but there is no hope, it‘s almost dead.

Maybe it will make you anxious, but if this anxiety is used properly, it will be valuable. Because of the appropriate and sufficient dose of anxiety, there is a good alternative term, called “a sense of crisis.” Those who do not have a sense of crisis are the kind of walking dead that is destined to become useless.

... Rest assured, we must have a way to solve the anxiety caused by the “feeling of crisis.”

Unconsciously, you already have at least two goals that are the future:

1. One day, sooner or later, you need to stop selling your time for life.
2. One day, sooner or later, you need to becoming the first 20% or even the top 1%.

Thinking and asking questions:

  1. Do you have any ability to be in the top 20% of the group around you? If there is, what is it? How do you do it?
  2. Have you ever wondered how to make your ability to grow to the top 20% of the group around you? In addition to making up your mind, what specific methods and steps do you have?
  3. After weeks of self training, there are a few ideas updated, do you think the change is great? If so, do you realize that these changes could happen earlier? Are the costs of these changes very low? (Is your attention input particularly important?)
  4. If you already have some sense of crisis, can you come up with a way out of anxiety? How can you get rid of anxiety? (Actually, turning forward, you can certainly find the answer, because in fact we have mentioned - you may as well look for it.)
  5. This week, please spend at least thirty minutes every day to take a self examination and think about whether you have any illusions in any aspect. What is the mistake of thinking that you are above average? Anyway, you don’t need to writ to others, find a paper and list it carefully. You’ll find that you will take more time to think about it every day - it’s absolutely a time to think about your future. Don’t take it lightly and think about my articles and questions...
