Earning Extra Online: Freebitcoin
Introduction
First of all I’d like to take a minute to explain my new series that I’ve been inspired to construct, in which I currently have approximately 5 different topics to cover, but this may be added to over time.
As a recent graduate myself, I have been in pursuit of avenues in which I could generate money online whilst I look for a job. It has also become very apparent after speaking to the Steemit community that a lot of you do this to generate an extra source of income, to better your financial situation.
With that in mind, I am starting a short series, dedicated to reviewing certain ways you can generate money online and my subsequent opinion of these. It is my pleasure to introduce the first topic, freebitco.in.
What is Freebitcoin?
Freebitcoin is a bitcoin faucet website that rewards users for simply clicking a captcha. It is one of the oldest and most well respected bitcoin faucets, with over 12 million users world-wide and a whopping 132,942 BTC given out in prize money so far.
There are several different avenues of the website, but the most useful is the free bitcoin roller and the bitcoin lottery. You can also mine bitcoin in your browser, gamble to multiply your bitcoin, or acquire interest on your bitcoin, but I would advise against using these options.
How does it work?
A bitcoin faucet such as Freebitcoin works by creating a high amount of traffic to their websites via a reward system, generating large amounts of money through advertisements in the process. Some of the profits from advertising goes into the faucet system, which is what enables them to give out free bitcoin.
Every hour you are entitled to roll a virtual dice in which your number corresponds to a certain prize in satoshis, with a chance to win $200. You also get lottery tickets for each roll you make, with the provably fair lottery draw having a grand prize of almost 1 BTC! What I’ve found great about this website is that they can give you a sound notification when your next roll is available.
What’s the interface like?
As you can see from the image above, the website is relatively basic in its design, but it works smoothly and I have had no issues so far with speed or downtime.
Is it worth my time?
Yes! This platform will probably not make you much money at all, so don’t get your hopes up. The minimum payout is 18 satoshis, which is literally less than a cent. It would take weeks to even get enough money to cover the transaction fees. That being said, you have a 1 in 10,000 chance to win $200. Again, your chances are very slim, but why not? At the end of the day, this website will not provide a good source of income, but if you’re at your computer anyway, I would highly recommend giving it a go. I’ll provide a referral link down below if you’re interested.

I only found it yesterday, I've literally earnt about $0.02 lol, but you have a chance to win more so it's worth a shot. There's the lottery that you get free tickets for every week or so too.
Ah niceee, I'm on about 600 I think... I keep my PC on mining 24/7 anyway so I just leave twitch on too haha. That twitch stream is so convenient :D

I don't think they'll need any donations after they're finished hahaha. They get 6 points per viewer, per hour when they stream Fortnite... Say an average of 200 viewers, that's 1200 points every hour they stream.
They're gonna be loaded looool.

They will get top 100 but not top 10, have you looked at the leaderboard, top 10 streamers are making 80k points per week!
