Hey Jeff, taking profits as hefty as we had when ETH weighed in at over $400 creates a substantial tax liability for those of us who still live in the US and have bills to pay in USD. So I did what you do...just held it. And it's been painful to watch the values evaporate as they have. That being said, to legally avoid paying taxes on gains it seems simple to me... just exchange the gains for dollar-pegged cryptocurrencies. The thinking is that like-kind exchanges of crypto for crypto does not constitute a taxable event. My question is, which USD -pegged crypto should we use? Any ideas?
