Do you mean buy japanese ETF's in the US markets when this type of thing happens? I just found out how correlated the Nikkei and DJI are over the past years.

A lot of equities markets are correlated in terms of risk on risk off sentiment. The Nikkei is an index of 225 constituents, it's tradable on most trading platforms. Japan being a large exporter is sensitive to the global economy.
