Should we buy that house or not…?

Unexpectedly, I was offered a house in the small village we often visit on weekends and during holidays.

A horse. Our new family member goes by the name of Einstein.

We own two horses, they are located here and they are taken care of in a stable during the week. We regularly stay in another house nearby owned by good friends. Housewarming. They work abroad for some years to come, so we do have a place to stay while out there. „Out there“ is near Berlin, Germany. Nice!

Now, this offered house is in really bad shape, but good enough to be rebuilt - I asked two independent experts. Therefore, and because the lady selling it likes us, the price is very, very low. Still, if we bought it, we wouldn’t have that much budget left for needed repair work. We could do the most necessary first (new, better roof!) and approach it step by step. We are not in a hurry. But I am not exactly a great craftsman…

Questions are:
Will I learn what it takes along the way? Will I be able to invest the time needed? Will there always be enough spare money for all the little investments?

Probably, it could be sold for at least that amount if I / if we find out that it doesn’t fit for whatever reason. So, I am at 90% pro buying. Also, I never bought a house in live before, so that would be something new :-)

man buy any sort of land or property or house you can afford to buy ,specially if they look garbage and cheap, because 90% of those garbage looking lands or houses in 5 or 10 years will turn to gold, i am saying this out of personal experince, be careful with your choices but in the same time dont make your self regret in the future for missing opportunities , good luck

Good points, thanks! I have another week to evaluate. Things look good :-)
