Probably more that they like getting paid in money that can be transferred quickly, predictably, and affordably. Bitcoin has serious scaling issues. Hopefully the initial introduction being to Bitcoin instead of Steem, BitShares, or something else scalable doesn't scare them away from all cryptocurrency for too long.

I know there are real issues that go along with it. There's everything that you said plus the fact that the Bitpay service , the company's payment processor said that they'll no longer be able to support Bitcoin settlements in CAD.
