Money backed by nothing but a promise!

The UK left the gold standard in 1931, it also used the Bradbury pound before that in the early 1900's when people lost confidence in banks, and wanted gold instead of paper, in return for said paper.

There have been over the centuries, many currencies based on nothing, all reverting back to nothing, history is not for fools, and the mistakes are destined to be repeated, over and over again.

The rule of thumb with any monetary system, is belief in it.

But what is it and who prints it?

Any currency worthy of being used, should be sound!.

If you back a currency with something else, gold, or any other thing of value, you can then claim it a sound money, Fiat is not sound, as it is fractional reserve banking.

It prints money from thin air, backed by nothing, then a bank loans it out at interest. When someone deposits any amount, they lend that money out 9 times over.

When enough people want their own money back, a bank calls it "a run on the bank".

Insanity is as insanity does, and the current system lives in la la land!.

How about a money based on the worth of everything within your own border? Every house, every brick, every bit of land. All our own efforts of the past, so as not to take from the future, as is the system NOW!.

What if someone wants to cash it in? Let them, it belongs to them by default!.
