The Banque de France maintained its forecast of a 0.5% growth in the French economy in the second quarter. It reached 0.4% in the first quarter. The institution also indicates that the economy remains buoyant in the services and in the building, two sectors in which the business climate remains on a favorable trend. Business leaders in both sectors expect a further increase in their business in June. This optimism offsets the less favorable outlook in the industry where entrepreneurs fear a slowdown in June.
