Let's talk Finance: Is this housing market insane?! (這個房地產市場瘋了嗎？)

I know it is pretty hard to compare the housing market in Hong Kong, Tokyo and other cities in the world, but this news is just absolutely insane. So here is this house, in Mission Fremont, was pretty much vacant for so many years, there are water leakages from the roof, mold problem, even the seller real estate agent describe this house is "totally unlivable".

This is the ad: "Build your Dream Home, Beyond FIXER, Home is CONDEMNED, Enter at your own RISK. Perfect neighborhood to build a New Mission Home on this lot after demolition. With a second story home you will have a Possible View of City Lights and Bay, there is a View on the porch. CASH only. DO NOT go there WITHOUT AN AGENT."

Within the day after posting the property, the real estate agent described he has received "nonstop phone calls and emails from the day it posts until the day it went pending. Nonstop from morning til night." The house end up sold for $1,230,000 USD, which was about $250,000 USD more than the asking price. Talking about insanity!

We were blessed financially that we were able to buy our first house the year before we got married, within the past 5 years, the house has already seen a more than 100% increase in price. It is all timing... It is all timing... What goes up, must come down, wait for the circle, and wait for the market to correct itself. Don't rush.
