This isn't a joke. This cartoon is EXACTLY what I've always said. Increase the minimum wage and employers will fire people. Force businesses to pay more for anything and they will fire people.
They will always offshore any job they can if it means increasing corporate profits. That's the corporate world.
We have seen countless displays of this over the years where the introduction of Obamacare for example resulted in more part-time employment. Employers didn't want to hire them for full-time so they wouldn't have to pay for their healthcare. It's a simple fact:
A business runs to consistently increase profits.

I always love a good economic comic as corny as that may sound. There must be extreme incentive for these corporations to raise wages while keeping the amount of workers constant, any ideas? Also, If the federal government can mandate minimum wage increase, maybe they should mandate a maximum wage and decrease it below a majority of exutive salaries, that'd really piss off the top 1% nicely hahaha
