Just wanted to try something different. I'm certainly no photographer, but I like looking at other people's photos. I ran across a post by @old-guy-photos entitled Monochrome Monday and I thought about this picture I took in front of St Louis's Science Center.
It's a "highly polished stainless steel" statue by Tom Friedman entitled "LOOKING UP" from 2014. The plaque said it was on loan from The Gateway Foundation to celebrate the life of Peter Fischer.
I googled both Tom Friedman and Peter Fischer trying to learn more about the sculpture and just ended up confused. I still don't know who Peter Fischer is or why The Gateway Foundation is celebrating his life.
I finally found this under Gateway Foundation:
TOM FRIEDMAN
Tom Friedman was born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1965. He received his BFA in graphic illustration from Washington University in St. Louis in 1988 and an MFA in sculpture from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1990. Tom Friedman now lives and works in Northampton, Massachusetts.
And they had this about the sculpture:
