Blockparty Deluxe
Visiting a friend the other day who lives in one of these blocks on the 38th floor, I had to fire off a few shots of this housing project of which there are many just like it all over Hong Kong. Your ears actually 'pop' when going up the lift (elevator for U.S folks) in these blocks of flats (apartments)..sorry ;)
After living here for so many years, it's easy to take for granted the scale of all the real estate built with one purpose in mind - build up and build high. Since land is such a premium here, space so limited, and with brutal overcrowding, it's really the only way to go. And as far as prices for purchase and rent in the property market here, it's fully insane..almost as mad as the cryptoverse ;)
