Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Australia.

This is my entry for Monochrome Monday organised by @old-guy-photos

The Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery is the oldest building in the museum's precinct. It is also the earliest surviving public building in Tasmania. It was built between 1808 and 1810 and has remained basically unaltered since its completion in 1826.

It is a great example of early colonial warehouse design and it has a water-powered lift which was added around 1990. I'm sure you will agree with me when I say, it is a beautiful piece of architecture.

Very nice shot. I love old architecture esp in black and white. Nice entry.

Thank you @countrygirl I do believe the older type architecture does truly suit black and white. They make magnificent landmarks wherever they are built.

I like the 3 columns on each side. Nice.
