The lichen colony is slowly spreading, covering all the jagged edges of the rock. In monochrome, it allows us to indulge ourselves in a little pareidolia. What do you see?

Is the moss green?

Diffident invasion.....

Lichen is at least gentle ;)

Yes slow moving.

Beautiful photo!
I see the silhouette of a frog, which has one hind leg
elongated. :-)))

I see it too

Excellent!!!

I kind of see something that may or may not resemble a lizard. Either way I like the monochrome.

Thank you!

I love lichen and never grow tired of seeing it.

Me too. It's also a sign of less air pollution

I see a space ship

Going all intergalactic on us? I see a Coelacanth

hahaha it was the first thing I saw, it reminded me of the spaceship you see in movies like star-trek where it has that bit hanging below the saucer part.

Coelacanth, that is quite specific. Is it because of the spottiness?

The large mouth and the long arm-like "fins"

This looks like a face on the bark! Two eyes and a mouth! He’s sleeping!
