MONOMAD - October 23rd - IMPORTANT DELEGATIONS UPDATE.

ANNOUNCEMENT

As we all know the #newsteem changed a lot of things in our small ecosystem. Perhaps the most important and controversial one is related to selling votes, or more precisely to what is considered to be selling votes.

@monochromes never sold a single one, but it came to our attention that some people see delegations to projects like this as a form of vote ring and started to downvote those.

No one was ever obligated to delegate to us in order to be part of the community or to participate in our daily photographic challenge. We opened that possibility only and exclusively to be able to reward all the participants with a little bit more.

Having all these recent changes in mind we decided to stop upvoting our delegators, so there will be no room to label us as a voting ring.
The black and white community is a small niche and we are sure that sooner or later someone would see us as a circlejerk and not as the curation project we are (or try to be).

Honestly we don't know the impact that this decision will have on our already small SP. Most likely the majority of you will simply undelegate and move it to some other more profitable place instead, which is perfectly understandable.

The @monochromes project was always known for showcasing great black and white photography and for giving micro Steem rewards, so nothing will change anyway ;)

In other hand we have a considerable PHOTO token stack and a robust trail following our votes, perhaps that will be the path to follow, since Steem is going through some profound ideological and behavioral changes that are still far from being settled.

Interesting times ahead.
