That's a fun shot you got going on. I like the micro photography, always been a big fan of it.
As for using it as a desktop image, I think I would. I tend to keep my icons along the outside edges of the screen, and this image would allow the icons to exist without getting lost in a very busy image.
I don't have any other direct feedback for you. If I was going to be very nitpicky I might suggest having a wider range of gray scale... but your current scale of color doesn't bother me.

This is amazing how nature can form such nice patterns. No special photography gear required, just right time and vision is all you need.
I liked the second one the most because of the color tones it has.

@paniczklos, I don't want to change anything because, whatever it is, it have a unique essence and also it's reflecting a effect where plant leaves are about to come into focus.

Looking at the picture, on plants or flowers come to my mind. I will make it look greener and probably have a red mix :)

The first picture looks blurred out, was causing a strain in my eyes to look at. The second picture was looking too made up, not real picture. The third picture looks real and natural but to be honest honest I wouldn't want it as a well paper because it looks like a picture that bores you out. You know a picture you're looking at and suddenly you fall asleep. If there should be a change then you need to add bright colors.
