This will be a Papier-mâché whale when finished; my husband is an artist and is making it for a local business. What you see mostly here is chicken wire, wood for the frame and tape on the other side. It measures about 5 feet wide or 1.5 meters.
Up close from this side it looks like honeycombs.
I pulled back the cover and shot this from the opposite side using a Canon Rebel.

I love the texture and contrast here, very visually satisfying. I think this is one of the only pieces of whale-art I've seen on Steemit that wasn't made for Steemit! Are you gonna share the finished product too?
