Monomad: Spider Web

in monomad •  5 years ago  (edited)

My entry to #monomad hosted by @monochromes is the black and white photo of a spider web with droplets.

The web is stretching over one of my plants in the flower garden. So far the only things caught in the web are the water droplets from the rain. The spider must have been on a break as he was no where to be found.

The same photo in sepiatone,

Both look great. I love mono for the droplets and you nailed it.
Sepia is equally outstanding.

Thanks Neli! 😊

I can't decide which one I like more but they both look great!! Good luck in the contest Jo!! 💞 🙂

Thanks Dee and for the good luck wishes. 💕 😊

You are welcome Jo! 🤗 🙂

I love taking photos after the rain too, many unexpected can be captured.

Love the water drop effect Redheadpei.

I wonder if the spider just figured that the web wasn't going to be any good with those droplets on it everywhere. I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that if a web gets damaged, the spider will eat it and then make a new one, so maybe that's why he's absent?

And the droplets made the web inedible?

Interesting. I never heard that before, @free-reign. the spider is probably having a nap after eating some of the web. 😊

Haha! That certainly sounds like a possibility!

What a great shots @redheadpei. Both edits look amazing, can't pick a favorite between these two.

I like spider webs but no chance of them today as it's pouring down here...

Super cool photos redheadpei! I'm not a fan of spiders but they don't bother me that much and in winter they aren't around outside.
