Monomad Photo Contest - A splash of light

While browsing the internet for a meaningful quote to accompany my entry to the Monomad contest, I found an interesting line. The person I'm quoting here is someone famous but a guy who you wouldn't expect to say something like that.

Flowers don't worry about how they're going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful.

This artist's name is listed after the photo. Try to guess it.

Lovely photo!

I don'y like Jim Carrey as an actor, but I have learnt to enjoy his words. He was on Bill Maher's show a while back and he makes a lot of sense.

I have no clue who said that but it's not only beautiful but true as well!
When I'm in the mountains or woods or both, and get to stay down for a minute to enjoy the view and silence, I'm always thinking of how those trees or cliffs don't worry or care if it's Monday or Wednesday, or if steem is down or up, or if Trump signs the climate deal or not! I used to think they live a carefree life but that's not true, isn't it? They have plenty to worry about and maybe less help from us humans.
Am I crazy? 😀

No, you are not crazy. This is something that crossed my mind numerous times. Nature seems so carefree but it is actually reacting at what we, humans, did to it. Storms, unusual temperatures...and all because of us. But, indeed, trees will continue their life untouched by our worries. If we don't care about their well-being, why should they care about us, right?

Now this is a good idea. We should write something about the global warming. Or maybe a challenge.... 🤔
I bet there are other steemians who share our concerns and they just need an opportunity to express their opinions.
This is something to think about it.

I agree (keep saying that this morning :D) I'm starting to gather material for that and you should do the same! We should also think about a tag, something like savenature or gogreen, and get people to post about this :)

Yeap, it's easier when you're part of a team. 🙂
And that gave me an idea about the tag. It should be something like "greenteam" or something similar. This is what we aim: a joint effort to help the nature. Besides, it's cool to be part of a gang. 😎
