MONOMAD PHOTOGRAPHIC CONTEST - Week #17 "REFLECTIONS" #3 S-21

in monomad •  7 years ago  (edited)

The Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, known as security Prison 21 (S-21) during the khmer Rouge regime, was used as one of at least 150 execution centers established by the Khmer Rouge, from 1975 to its fall in 1979. In this photograph you can see one of the torture chambers with a tomb stone reflected on a window glass. These tombs placed in the outside yard belong to the prisoners which life were taken just before the Vietnamese army invaded and recovered the prison. There were only seven known survivors .
