This year the Mid-Autumn festival is on 24th September. I started seeing many stalls selling mooncakes already. This one I spotted in Bee Cheng Hiang stall in Toa Payoh Central. It’s designed as Chinese chess pieces. In Chinese chess, the number of pieces on each side is also 16, like the International chess. This box has only 9 small pieces though. Who ate my queen? OK, there is no queen in Chinese chess. 😎
