Moon Over NWS Installation
I shot this photo from about two miles away from the NWS installation, using a long lens. The "large moon" perspective occurs because moving away from a near, small object (the weather station) reduces its apparent size much more than moving away from a far, large object.
The image was processed for dynamic range and local contrast in Aperture and WinImages; otherwise, it is unedited.
Shot Details
Canon EOS 40D, hooded Canon EF 100-400mm ƒ/4.5-5.6L IS USM zoom @ 390mm, ISO 1600, 1/160th sec. exposure, ƒ/5.6, handheld, AF on, lens IS (mode XY) on.
Amazing photo! Nice work!!
