Delivering the food of Morocco, 15 people killed after being trampled

At least 15 people were killed and five others wounded during distribution of food aid in Morocco.

The incident happened on Sunday in a market in southwestern city of Sidi Boulevaalam, the country's Interior Ministry, Reuters reported.

A hospital source told Reuters that 18 people were killed in that incident, and among them there were more women.

A wealthy person organized food distribution in the coastal city. The source told Reuters that the victims were pushing the crowd to take food during the distribution.

A local journalist said that the person had distributed food in the same way before, but this year about a thousand people came in, some women were buried under the enclosure when people tried to break a barrel of iron.

In a statement, the Interior Ministry said that King Mohammad promised to provide all types of assistance to the families of the deceased and would pay the treatment costs of the injured.
