Hallo everyone,
If you are a traveler or backpacker you can take the bus easily from Fez or Marrakesh. From Fez 150 Dh (15€) from Marrakesh roundabout 220 Dh (22€). When you travel try to get the tickets directly to Merzouga otherwise they will try to let you out from Rissani and you have to pay 20 Dh (2€) extra.
This is the bus company going directly to Merzouga:
Merzouga Bus-Station
The Busses from Marrakech will reach around 8:00 pm and from Fez around 6:30 am.
If you don’t want to walk on the street you can find your path around the Bus-Station to the main road of Merzouga.
If you need money in Merzouga you can find the bank close to the bus station next to the post office.
When you reach to the Main Street you can find a really good place to have good coffee and the one of the best internet connections of a stable connection!

Tips to for tour’s in the desert:
My favourite option is to walk. You can reach the other side of the desert in round about 2 hours! To visit the camps at a cloudy day is in my opinion the best what you can do! After the camps behind the desert you can find amazing places like goats towns and places with black meteorite stones.
Of course you can take also Quad to get around the desert. I can say only it’s a lot of fun!!
It’s for one hour per person 350 Dh (35 €). You can contact the guys in WhatsApp +212660047731 and have your trip through the dunes.
There are different camel tours like the one from Ali. He is having 12 camels and is asking for 1 hours 100 Dh (10 €). Camel trip to the desert camp for one night 450 Dh (45 €) and for the luxury’s version 700 Dh (70 €) per person. You can contact him under this number: +212662439180 Ali Sahara Merzouga
The desert got a lot to offer, also a bar in the end of Merzouga town in Auberger KASBAH Merzouga. The wine is 125 Dh (13 €) and a small beer is 25 Dh (2,5 €). On weekends they open a small disco and play in the dar live music.
In the time I got to know many new friends like Hassan Nr. 2 hi was the master of riddles. Here are some of the most famous ones:
How to put a camel in three steps in to a fridge?
Open .. put the camel and close
A natural thing which get born with two horses, in the middle of his live without no horns and when it dies again has two horns?
The Moon
The lion makes a party and invites all the animals. Which animal is not coming?
The camel in the fridge!
For campers Merzouga is offering in the little price camping site a perfect option to stay close to the desert.
After a successful visit and relaxing time you have various options to leave Merzouga with the public transport.
