Wonderful Imlil Part 1

Imlil is a small village located in the Moroccan High Atlas at an altitude of 1740 meters. Imlil lies about 40 miles south of the city of Marrakech.

Imlil is located in a valley where icy water flows from the melting of snow which, during the winter, was deposited on the summits of the surrounding mountains.

Imlil is also the starting point for all those who want to climb Mount or Jbel Toubkal. Mount Toubkal is the highest peak in Morocco with a height of 4 165 meters. Jbel Toubkal is ranked eighth highest African summit. The highest being Kilimanjaro with a height of 5,895 meters.

To get to Imlil, the easiest way is to leave from Marrakech. From Marrakech, if you are motorized, take the road towards Asni and Tahenaout.
