Morro Bay
This is a very nice place to visit, with its rock formation to its sea food and coastal hospitality.

Morro Bay has a lot to offer the average person, local or not. This ocean side town has a thriving community and local flare.

From music, to bars and restaurant options this small town on the central California coast has plenty to offer in family entertainment and even some adult time if needed.
Over all this relaxed atmosphere draws in people to just go and enjoy many of it's shops and food options and even a nice relaxing day at the beach.

So along with many different things to do like antique shopping or camping and even boat tours. There is some history that makes Morro Bay an interesting subject.

It's known for Morro Rock, an ancient volcanic mound at the end of Morro Rock Beach. The rock sits within Morro Bay State Park, home to lagoons, trails and a bird-rich saltwater marsh. Morro Bay State Park’s Museum of Natural History features exhibits on ecology and local Native American culture. There are Trails that lead up the Hills for nice views over the city and Morro Bay. This rock is referred to has a volcanic plug, a 576 foot high volcanic plug to exact, which stands at the entrance to the harbor. Originally it was surrounded by water, but the northern channel was filled in to make the harbor. It was quarried from 1889 to 1969, & in 1968, it was designated a Historical Landmark.

Really awesome! Great photos! I went on a whale watching tour there once. I recall we saw some blue whales, which I thought was pretty cool, given that they're the largest in the world and all.

Cheers!
