Moscatel de Setúbal is a Portuguese wine produced in Setúbal, especially in Azeitão a small village near Setúbal known by the excellents fortified muscat wines.
Moscatel is a white grape from Egypt (second image) and the wines are produced as Port Wine, the grapes ferment for about 4 a 5 days then the fermentation is arrested before the yeast turns all the sugar into alcohol adding brandy to kill the yeast.
The result is a fortified sweet wine with 17 to 18 degrees of alcohol.
