On the left, Chalym Chuldum-ool who was part of the unit that held 350 Ukrainians including 60 children in a school basement for a month in Yahidne, Ukraine. 10 died due to conditions in the basement. 7 were executed including a journalist.

It would of course fall to Russia again in 2022. Much of the city was destroyed by the Russian invasion. Tens of thousands of Ukrainians are believed to have been killed in Mariupol alone.
